The Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) is an inclusive rally obedience trialing association. CARO allows dogs of any breed to compete in their trials, and is very accommodating to dogs and handlers of different abilities – and they hold virtual trials twice a year. These classes are specifically designed for you two learn the rules and signs for CARO. However, all of these skills will be useful for other rally obedience trialing associations (such as CKC, AKC, ASCA, etc.) as well, just be mindful that rules may be different for each venue! CARO allows food rewards in the ring in Rally Novice and Advanced and Working Class, this is a great way to help build ring confidence at competitions. CARO Excellent has tunnels, weaves, bar jump and broad jumps. Come to class and tighten up your heeling, focus and connection, but most importantly, come have fun!
Lily makes every attempt to make her classes welcoming to sensitive dogs. She does this by ensuring that dogs have space in class, this sometimes includes using x-pens as visual barriers. Intro to Rally Obedience

Space Available
This class is a perfect introduction to dog sports! We cover skills like sit, down, stand, and stay. We build beautiful heeling, handler focus and canine confidence. The skills required for Rally Obedience will prepare you for any other sport, like learning how to relax in class, learning how to work around distractions, and how to move through spaces together. This class is all on leash.

Novice Rally Obedience
Fridays 3:00-4:00pm

Space Available
This class is suited to dogs that have done an Intro to Rally Obedience class, or another dog sports class such as agility or tricks. You and your dog will learn the CARO novice signs and all of the skills needed for each sign. You will work your way up to full CARO courses in 6 weeks, while focusing on making heeling fun for both you and your dog. This class is all on leash.
CARO Rally Novice/Advanced
Fridays 5:30-6:30pm

Space Available
CARO Novice/Advanced, this class starts on leash, and slowly builds your off-leash rally skills, your heeling skills and connection with your dog. CARO Advanced has a jump, food bowl distractions, and a “judge walk around” where the judge walks around your dog. We teach dogs all of these skills using baby steps, and always going at a pace that suits each dog. Dogs who have completed a Novice Rally Obedience class (CARO or CKC), or are proficient in another sport like agility are welcome to join this class.
CARO Rally Advanced/Excellent
Wednesdays 6:40-7:40pm

CARO Rally Advanced and Excellent are really fun and challenging. You will be challenged as a trainer to clean up any skills that need work in your heelwork. We learn and practice the following obstacles: weave poles, broad jumps, and tunnels as well as moving stands, poppy position changes and many more fun skills. This class is on and off leash.
